Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It has been a very busy summer here at Reach Separations. May and June saw us moving into a large new laboratory, doubling both the lab and office space we already had. June also saw the installation of the H-class UPLC, shortly followed by a nitrogen generator to support the QDa mass detector, much to the relief of Tash (gas runs are now only every other day!). We've also been out and about throughout Europe and beyond. We presented a poster at HPLC2015 in Geneva and again at SFC2015 in Philadelphia. The trip to Philadelphia was a big milestone for Reach as it was the first time we had been across the Atlantic!

Just because the days are starting to get shorter (sorry to mention it) doesn't mean we are slowing down either! Read on, through this very cycling heavy edition, to see what is coming up in the next few weeks and as always if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Best regards, Peter Ridgway - Business Development Director (BDD)

The Tour de Nottingham!

Last week saw the Tour of Britain come very close to Reach HQ with Stage 6 finishing in Nottingham on Friday. Reach sponsored the event and were there to cheer on the professionals during the final few hundred meters, you might even have spotted us at the finish line!

As part of the cycling festivities our friends here at Biocity organised 'The Big Biocity Bike Ride' and our Senior Separation Scientists all took part, riding the elite route (of course!) completing a tour of Nottinghamshire villages and were back at the pub before it got dark!

Website launch

We are proud to announce that our brand new website has launched THIS MORNING! It contains the same great content but reflects the more recent developments within the lab, with up to date information on both analytical and preparative kit. As always, all previous newsletters can be found on the website as well as up to date news and previews as to where we will be next!

You can take a look here - let us know what you think of the new design by getting in touch : marketing@reachseparations.com

Catch us in Cambridge

We're at the 18th SCI/RSC Medicinal Chemistry Symposium in Cambridge this week. We will be exhibiting throughout the week, so if we didn't see you at the welcome BBQ yesterday come and say hello today or tomorrow. We have our brand new banners with us and there might even be some jelly beans left!

Battle of the Bikes

In more cycling news, Toria completed the Ride London Surrey 100 back in August. The 100 mile route took place on the closed roads of London and Surrey and included the Olympic climb up Box Hill. She just squeezed in to the top 20% of female riders, completing the full 100 miles in less than 6 hours.

Tash begins her own sporting challenge this week. She'll be taking part in the 'Couch to 5km' over the next 8 weeks, with the aim of running 5km non-stop at the end of the programme. Good luck Tash!

Upcoming events

We will be heading out to Sweden in October to host a networking event in association with the Medicon Valley Alliance. The event entitled 'Trends in Outsourcing' will take place in Lund on the 19th October. You can find out more and register for the event here
